The main square in the Franciacorta Outlet Village is the central point of the commercial space but unfortunately lacked an iconic and distinctive feature, which underlined the need for a radical transformation.
This project attempts to give the main square a new image by making it more attractive and inviting for the visitor, by providing a public space dedicated to leisure and socializing. Enriched by distinct and specific thematic areas, the central point becomes an important piece of the complex system necessary to improve the visitor‘s experience. The new floor design helps emphasize the main routes and paths with new trees marking the rhythm of the existing arcade, and strategically placed green landscaping to help guide the flow of circulation. Additional features include a new fountain design and scenographic lighting projections, which add a contemporary, dynamic and rich touch to the existing space.
The Foodcourt, placed in a central position and contained between the windows of bars and restaurants, is characterized by semicircular green landscaping that structures the space into more intimate areas in contrast to the large scale of the square, making it more recognizable and stand out.
