The project transforms a historic courtyard and its adjoining former industrial building in the centre of Busto Arsizio into a contemporary food village, combining dining, social spaces and areas for events.

The design preserves and enhances the architectural character of the existing complex while introducing new elements that establish a clear dialogue between old and new. The courtyard becomes the heart of the project, connecting a sequence of indoor and outdoor spaces including a bar, food market, dining areas and food truck zones.

Warm materials, greenery and lightweight architectural structures create a welcoming and informal atmosphere, while the original masonry, roof structures and spatial proportions remain clearly legible. Additional dining areas and an event space on the upper floor extend the programme and increase the flexibility of the complex.

The result is a new urban destination that reactivates an existing building and opens it to the city.
